How to Hit the RESET Button and Be Ready for the Market in 2025

“I need to do 3 or 4 deals before the end of the year.”
That’s what one of my coaching clients told me last week.
You’re probably nodding your head. In a year like this, everybody is thinking that same thing right about now.
So let me ask you this…
How are you going to do that?
How exactly are you going to get your current clients to close before the end of the year, if that’s not what they want to do?
How exactly are you going to find new clients who are desperate to buy or sell a home with you before January 1st, if they haven’t already reached out to you by now?
I know what my client’s team leader is going to do: get all the agents into the office, feed them pizza, and start making phone calls.
To whom? To say what??
This is so ridiculous, it’s not even funny.
You can’t make anyone do anything they don’t want to do.
And yet this is exactly where people’s heads are in this business. You’re trained, coached, and conditioned to operate this way.
The worst part is, why do you even want to get those deals done before the end of the year? For the sake of your numbers, your ranking, your ego. NOT your clients’ best interests.
Between now and the end of the year, you DON’T need to close 3 or 4 more deals…
You need to get your head on straight.
And you CAN do that because—unlike your clients’ decisions—it’s INSIDE your circle of control.
Real estate is not a beauty pageant. You are not your ranking. One deal doesn’t do anything other than provide momentary relief.
If you’re gonna be in this business…BE. IN. THIS. BUSINESS.
Stop messing around. There is no magic pill. There is no shortcut. There is no instant anything.
There is only showing up and doing your job to the best of your ability every day.
The question is, do you know your job?
It’s not a rhetorical question. Most agents don’t. That’s why they do deals but never build a lasting business.
So, take the time between now and the end of the year to think long and hard about what you’re doing.
I know, it’s scary to take a hard look in the mirror. You’re afraid you’re not gonna like what you see, so you don’t go there. But if you keep avoiding it, you’ll just keep repeating the same bad habits, and they will keep compounding against you.
You need to hit the RESET button—and that’s exactly what Game Plan 2025 is for.
Take one full day to get your head where it needs to be.
Stop chasing the next deal and start looking at the bigger picture. What’s your VISION for your business? What’s your STRATEGY to get there? And how will you stay FOCUSED on executing that strategy?
I know you want to put more money in your pocket, which is why we’ll be doing deep dives on the only three levers you can pull to achieve that: charging a full fee, raising your price point, and selling more homes.
Don’t kid yourself—if you don’t reset before the end of the year, next year will be exactly the same.
The habit mind is so much more powerful than the conscious mind. You have to put up guardrails going into 2025, or you’ll run off the tracks.
And now is NOT the time to let that happen.
The last 2-3 years have been tough, and the market is overdue for an uptick. When it starts moving, you need to be READY—not playing catch-up.
NOW is the moment to position yourself for success.
